We designed the Physician Executive MBA for full-time medical doctors who want to transform patient care and improve the health of their organizations. The typical PEMBA student has 5-20 years of experience, including residency.
Each cohort consists of an average of 40 students so that PEMBA participants can form lasting connections with their peers and professors.

Haslam’s Physician Executive MBA is the only one-year-long accredited MBA offered exclusively for physicians. The program takes one year to complete. During the year there are four one-week-long on-campus residency periods spread out quarterly.
The Physician Executive MBA is a low residency, full-time program. There are four, one-week residence periods at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Students also participate in online distance-learning sessions for three hours each week.
